Omkar Pochonia is a specialized biological nematicide formulated with viable spores of Verticillium chlamydosporium 1.0% W.P. (also known as Pochonia chlamydosporia).
This naturally occurring nematophagous fungus acts by directly parasitizing nematode eggs, females, cysts, and juveniles in the soil.
It is highly effective for the sustainable management of plant-parasitic nematodes, specifically root-knot nematodes.
By reducing nematode multiplication and protecting roots from physical damage (galling), it indirectly prevents secondary fungal and bacterial wilt infections.
Its application promotes a healthier, robust root system, improves nutrient uptake, and enhances overall crop productivity.

Method of Application
Seed Treatment: Treat the seeds uniformly at a dosage of 20 gm per kg of seeds before sowing. (Note: Do not use on chemically treated seeds).
Nursery Bed Treatment: For applicable crops (like tomatoes and brinjal), apply the formulation directly to nursery beds at a dosage of 50 gm per sq. m.
Soil Application: Apply to the main field at a dosage of 5 kg per hectare before sowing or transplanting. This should be applied to the soil along with 5 tons per hectare of enriched Farm Yard Manure (FYM).
FYM Enrichment Process: To prepare the enriched manure required for soil application, add 1 kg of the bio-nematicide formulation to 1 ton of Farm Yard Manure (FYM) or compost. Leave it under shade for 15 days, maintaining optimum moisture, and mix thoroughly at an interval of 5 days for proper enrichment.
Application Timing: All applications (seed, nursery, and soil) should preferably be done in the early morning or evening hours during favorable weather conditions.
Dose
20 gm/kg for seeds; 50 gm/sq. m for nursery beds; 5 kg/hectare for soil application.
